September 2017 - History Written In Advance

Gen 5:24 Amp “Enoch lived sixty five years and begot Methuselah. After he begot Methuselah, Enoch walked (in habitual fellowship) with God; and he was not for God took him.

Methuselah’s name means, 'When he dies it will fall.' At his birth, Enoch had a revelation of the judgment that would take place at both the flood of Noah and the return of Christ! It was a revelation that would change his life and walk with God.

Gen 5:27 “So all the days of Methuselah were 969 years; and he died. The exact time he died - the flood began! Gen 7:11 “In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up and the windows of heaven were opened.

Enoch understood that God was going to judge the world with a flood and that an even more catastrophic judgement would fall at the very end of the world.

In Hebrews 11:5-7 we can see Enoch as a type of the rapture of the church being caught up before the tribulation. Then in verse 7 we see Noah as a type of Israel going through the tribulation. Enoch’s first prophecy came to pass right on schedule – with devastating accuracy! We can be sure that his second prophecy will as well!

Jude 14 “Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousand of His saints, to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.

Are you ready to meet the Lord? When Christ comes back this time it won’t be as a babe in a manger or a suffering Saviour hanging on a cross, but as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!!

Heb 11:5 “By faith Enoch was translated so that he did not see death, ‘and was not found because God had translated him’, for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

Four things we can do to please God and be ready to meet Him:
1. Receive Christ as Lord and Saviour and live for Him now.
2. Recognize how fragile life is and live life with eternity in mind. (Jam 4:13-14)
3. Stay connected to Christ, His Word, and His Church. This is your source of power.
4. "Occupy (do business: win souls, cast out devils, heal the sick) till I come.” (Luke 19:13, 10)

I have told you before it comes, that when it comes to pass, you may believe.” John 14:29
